i like the language, but threads are missing - when are they coming???
on the "d" http://www.digitalmars.com/ forums people are discussing the
advantages of euphoria. how about a little support from the makers.
do you still have an interesst of keeping your language viable?

How about a clue as to date/time of message, subject, author?
I spent a few minutes searching, and I couldn't find any
discussions about Euphoria.
I found:
Phobos namespace pollution
Major D Libraries (was Re: Phobos namespace pollution)
GDB Hacking
Passing variadic arguments through to another variadic function?
Is latest recls going into next Phobos, as stated by author in recent post?

livly isn't it.
a guy (darek parnell) seems to want to rewrite - or to facilitate
euphoria in d - why?
the idea of euphoria is good, - but read dereks posts, noting happens in
euphoria, and it doesn't change, if at all, it happens to be slow if at all -
in the hands of one person, who doesn't seem to be commited.
i like the idea of euphoria, i try to use it - but if there is any future
that satisfies the needs (not doing trivial things), i hope that it will
happen soon.
i hope Rob Craig will do more than just humor his own ideas and sitting them
out (i hope no hardship is taken).
yes d is discussed, but look at it's achivments now, its usability now and
think about what euphoria could be, if it would be pushed as d is.

I am not saying that RDS or Robert Craig is right or wrong, or that
the company's policy is wrong or right. I have nothing to say on that
issue at all. What I am saying is "the development path that RDS
has for their Euphoria implentation is not compatible with
*my* needs".
Euphoria is a wonderful language and there exists a number of problem
domains in which it can excell. I actively promote Euphoria in other forums
when it is appropriate to do so. I am careful to avoid using language that
might be harmful to RDS or Robert in any public forum, as that is not
helpful to anybody. But I do document my history when appropriate, and thus
I'm sure some people may try to infer things that may not be factual.
My reasons for moving away from the RDS sponsored implementation of Euphoria
are selfish. *My* needs for the development of the language are not going
to be met by RDS in the near (or foreseeable) future. That is the
perogative of RDS and I don't dispute that. It is a matter of history that
provides evidence that the development methodology of RDS and my needs
are not compatible.
If I develop products that somehow compete, or provide alternatives, to
RDS products, then that effect will be incidental. The purpose of developing
products based on Euphoria is meet *my* needs for the language. It is not
the purpose to compete with RDS. In fact, I don't care if nobody wants to
use whatever tools I may develop. I want to achieve things that I can't with
the RDS implementation of Euphoria. After spending many years in discussion,
without having any timely effect on the development of RDS Euphoria, I am
now addressing the situation in a different manner. Namely, attempting to
make the language even more useful to myself.

implementation of Euphoria, I think:
