Some time last year I wrote a program to display a phix logo (can post src or online link if asked), then promptly told no-one about it.
I've just coverted it to an svg. I'll concede it is a bit naff, no need to pull your punches.

Oh dear, it seems that inline image tags (of any kind) no longer work on this forum...

The "i" char should at least not be blue as the "h" char. Why not green to let the "x" char be visible ?

I'm assuming that "Phix" was chosen as a name for the project as "fix" is jargon for drug-taking in pursuit of euphoria. Arguably, you've both pursued and overtaken.
So now what? Assuming you keep the name, you're now in need of an image to represent it. You could continue in the hat-tipping to Euphoria either by choosing a different mongoose and "editing" it or by selecting an animal related to the mongoose. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mongoose lists all the known mongooses.
Alternatively, with a hat-tip to Rudyard Kipling, you could derive a serviceable icon from the Krait, particularly the red-headed variety: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red-headed_krait
After that, a combination ring and open-end spanner with a half-hitch in the middle - a tool to fix things with but with a twist.

Ooooh - like this suggestion! Just my 2 cents.

Indeed, "subtler pastel hues that emphasize the "P" a bit more, the "hi" a bit less, and the "x" a bit more" are just not really my forte.
(I do kinda like the "hi", but it should be a smidge more like the arrow in the FedEx logo...)

tbh, not really targetting the right audience, I suspect, and in fact was in my 50s when first finding out that symbol was named phi !
I'm assuming that "Phix" was chosen as a name for the project as "fix" is jargon for drug-taking in pursuit of euphoria.
It arose as a pseudo-acronym of "Pete's Hybrid Interpreter/Compiler", with a slight nod to PhiX, the first ever man-made artificial lifeform, and implying "easy to fix" over "illicit substances".
I'm not particularly precious about the name phix, but see little point changing it now, or what the logo looks like, but it has to have something.

No point changing the name. But yes, an image of some sort. Thus all the serpentine suggestions.

I still like the Phi x idea. Who would the right audience be whom it wouldn't target? According to all the possible meanings of Phi that Wikipedia lists (I was only aware of a small number of them) — https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phi — it would be recognized by people from all kinds of backgrounds. I particularly like "In philosophy, Φ is often used as shorthand for a generic act" (whatever that means), and it's the symbol for the golden ratio, too.
But whatever the logo is or will be, I think the name Phix is really good.

Seriously? It would be recognised by doctors, theologians, historians, mathematicians, and professors in humanities and the classics, but everyone else would simply say “It’s all Greek to me†and almost all wouldn't know with any certainty that it even is a greek letter. I don't, you may be surprised to hear, have the budget to get away with anything like a Nike swoosh, it has to be instantly recognisable and friendly, and greek letters are anything but that.
While I'm here, couple of ascii art things just in case they prompt any ideas:

+1 The last one and the first posted Logo is visually too complicated.

Both are really nice. 1st one is less complicated.

What about a gear/cog (kind of common iconography for programming tools in general, can be generated by Inkscape) but sliced through diagonally in both directions, breaking it up into four segments? That would represent the hybrid nature of Phix and also integrate the 'x', which is the most distinct letter/sound in the name. Just ideating

Whatever you choose consider some of the use cases, e.g. the tiny hexagonal rendition that Exercism will create from it. The ASCII art is nice but I don't see it shrinking well.
