Juergen:

It looks like a PIF matter. Right-click "Ex.exe" at your BIN folder and 
select "properties". Then select a tab for "screen" (between "memory" 
and "misc" tabs). Select window or full screen as you wish. By doing 
this you'll be editing your ex.pif configuration file. That's all :)
