It runs at about the same speed on a 550 MHz as it does on a 400 MHz PentiumII system. I've found that there is a limit as to how fast a timer will respond regardless of the speed of the CPU. I brought up this issue once before because I couldn't get the speed I wanted with a standard timer even though I knew it could go faster. Once the limit is reached (about 50 milliseconds/tick) all other timer events are ignored. -- Brian
