Here's the check box line in the program. id = create(CheckBox,"",grpActive,xt,yt,60,20,0) Windows/Win32 puts an unexplained text of 'Y' after the check box on 2 of the 3 checkboxes and a 'N' after the 3rd. ...george ----- Original Message ----- From: "Derek Parnell" <ddparnell at bigpond.com> To: "EUforum" <EUforum at topica.com> Subject: Re: check boxes > > Bernie, > what's wrong with using ... > > setText(butt_name, "New Text") > > instead of > > sendMessage(butt_name, WM_SETEXT, 0, allocate_string("New Text")) > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Bernie Ryan" <xotron at localnet.com> > To: "EUforum" <EUforum at topica.com> > Sent: Wednesday, August 22, 2001 7:41 AM > Subject: RE: check boxes > > > > > > > > George Walters wrote: > > > I'm playing with check boxes and there's some text that windows places > > > after > > > the box with some char's surrounded by a dotted box.
