Very true. When I'm coding, the mouse can be quite a distraction. However, even in the demonic realm of GUI apps, there are the keyboard shortcuts. In NotePad, there is ALT FS to save, ALT FX to exit (and save), etc. That, by the way, closely matches the more "angelic" DOS prog edit. I hope I'm not coming across as though I'm saying that NotePad is the ultimate in sweet tools. I had my issues with it as well, especially when I was using Win95. And now, I don't use it at all, but rather a editor made for coding.
