1. Euphoria MUD

Hello, I am fairly new to Euphoria. But I have downloaded the example of the VERY tiny mud from the archive and have made quite a few changes and upgrades to it already. (Such as: I made the "say" command actually work like a say instead of a shout.......I added a who and time command.....created a time/date system for the game, giving each new character a birthday...and several other things) I was wondering if any people might be interested in helping me to work on this and make this the best MUD of all time. *grins* I am a 32 year old female...but I consider myself an experienced MUDder. *grins* Also, I was wondering if anyone had a web server that would run euphoria, who would like to help with this and use their server. Right now, I would LOVE to figure out how to make this work with telnet, instead of having to use the Euphoria coded client (Most mudders I know have their own client already , such as GMUD, or ZMUD, or EMUG, etc...and don't want to download a new one). I also, cannot get word wrap figured out....although,...I'm thinking that problem would fix itself, if the client were telnet. Besides that...I seem to be figuring out, basically whatever I want to figure out....but this is a huge task...and I would love some help, if anyone is interested. Michelle

Hi Michelle, I'm sure that I and most of the users on this list will be glad to help you in anything you need, just send a mail with your question and we will answer it. I was once a mud user (I used Putty telnet client), but never got experienced on that subject. I don't know too much about the telnet protocol, but if i'm not wrong, it was RAW, no specifiec message needs to be sent. Hope you can solve your problems and get a running mud. Good luck. Best Regards, Guillermo Bonvehi AKA: KNiXEUR - Caballero Rojo PS: You can also try the irc channel - irc.sorcery.net #euphoria - to get some answers. --- mrogers at mail.ccs.bia.edu wrote: > > Hello, > > I am fairly new to Euphoria. What MUD program did you get? From the SAY command and the required euphorian client, it sounded a bit like Pete E.'s MUD demo for RDC.e What platform is it for? (If its the RDC.e one, it works on Linux, and FreeBSD with minor mods, else its probably a Windows MUD Server.) If you want to allow for raw telnet, just use eutcp4u. (Its the only lib thats been ported to both Windows and Linux that supports raw telnet that I know of.) jbrown On Mon, Feb 10, 2003 at 01:42:24PM -0500, mrogers at mail.ccs.bia.edu wrote: > > Hello, > > I am fairly new to Euphoria.
