1. Win32Lib Handover
In about 10 or so days, I'll be handing over win32lib to the next
generation of carers. I'd like it to be reasonably stable (no major
errors) before I do that.
I'm thinking that it might be a good idea to upload a frequent (daily?)
snapshot of the code, so that people can review it for us all. It would
be just a ZIP file of the include files.
If this is not of any real interest, I won't bother to do it. So please
let me know if you'd like to review and/or test the alpha snapshots.

When the library appears to be stable, which I hope will
be before the 4th of December, I'll send the full package of
include files, documentation, and demos to RDS. My Euphoria website
will only be up for a month or so after that time.

We have been here a long time, we expected Eu to grow. We expected our
requests would be heard, and our needs be met. I am looking for a language
most like Eu, but with the same features i asked for 5 years ago, which RDS
can't bring themselves to supply. Lua, Tk, Perl, Python, Php, mirc,, don't
quite do it for me by themselves, but Eu could have been absolutely perfect,
the top language to beat all languages. I'll probably go with Php. Or Bach....
depending on the license terms regarding how i can use it on my own
computers at home. OpenEu doesn't seem to be getting anywhere.
I am sorry to see Derek leave. I was sorry to see DavidC leave. Irv leaving
too, and others. I can't figure how RobC's overriding concern for the original
vision of the language is worth this brain drain of contributors. RDS should be
hiring these people, not running them off. Shooting the language in the foot
with 2.5, and then charging twice the price for it, is simply stunning.

i know 1 thing, i'll be getting myself a copy of the win32lib 0.60.6
and sticking it in my DON'T DELETE archive, might get a stripped copy
too for finished proggy's , hopefully 1 can still purchase the full
version of Eu 2.4 from RDS , i don't like the way things seem to be
going around here.

Some of them to take care of grandsons and granddaughters on a shore now,
I think. Good luck and happy to them.
And Derek got custom Euphoria 2.5 with his $-feature for free, what else
is needed for the experienced Euphoria programmer? To answer list's
questions on Windows? He can do all he wants using his Euphoria skill now.
You don't know the top secret Euphoria code?

I'll make sure that the latest release makes it up to sourceforge. Also,
if anyone's interested in maintaining win32lib (no reason why it has to
be just one person), I'd be happy to give them access to the sourceforge
project.

According to the website: "Register now for 2.5. We'll give you the
2.5 alpha, beta and official releases, and upon request, we can send

Bach is Karl's interpreter built on Eu v2.3(?), with all the things we been
asking RDS for, plus more. See:

Problem is the license about Eu carries to Bach, so if you make anything at
all for it in terms of debugging, ide, tracing, etc, you can't.
