http://rapideuphoria.com is down for me and for https://www.isitdownrightnow.com/rapideuphoria.com.html . The last fetch by internet archive shows it up on Sept 25 : https://web.archive.org/web/20200925225302/http://www.rapideuphoria.com/ . I thought it worthwhile to point out since there's a link to it here as "The Archive". Perhaps an additional button "Local Backup Archive"? I have no more data about it's down-ness.

Umm, something is adding an extra "http" to the web.archive.org address unless i apply double [ ].

I had a couple emails back and for with Rob and he agreed to send me a copy of his last backup of the RDS website, so I have that now. I'm still working on updates to this website.

Glad to see that Euphoria will eventually be back up. However isn't there a new Euphoria site in the works?

I'm not necessarily planning to bring the domain rapideuphoria.com back online. It looks like it was just renewed in August 2020.

I can see if Rob wants to transfer it to me. I didn't even ask about that. He might be okay with it. He had no problem transferring the openeuphoria.org domain.

Yes, which is why you see me posting occasional updates to Euphoria MVC. That's going to be the framework for the new site.

The current website uses Jeremy's WebClay framework, which utilized the new-for-4.0 preprocessor feature to merge HTML markup and Euphoria code, à la PHP.

Personally I don't really like that approach, as it seems quite dated and rigid, but it was certainly more fitting of the development style at the time.

Euphoria MVC aims to provide a better separation of concerns approach: data models, view templates, and controller code to "glue" them together.

I forgot to reply back to Rob asking if he'd be okay with me bringing the site back online, so I just did that now. All it would take is him pointing the domain records to my shared hosting nameservers. I'll let you know how that goes.

Good news! Rob agreed point the domain to my shared host (which is where I run usingeuphoria.com and the email for openeuphoria.org).

I'm uploading the backup he sent me right now.

I'll update when I get the original domain online as well.
