No, the honor is on Rob accepting. Obviously, if you challege a samuari on his honor to attack and kill you, and he accepts, thats not desireable to you (unless you fight back and win). What is desireable to you is to have the samuari dishonored by refusing your challege. Basicly you want him to look bad. Or so it would be in olden times. Now, it probably applies not so much ... I can't speak for Lucius directly, but the modern teenager (yes I know Lucius is long past his teen years ... hence I don't speak for him) who says "bite me" is just using an olden expression to express his/her disrespect and resentment.
