Ferdinand, >From your email address, it appears (?) that you're not in the U.S. So if you're not *in* the U.S., then I don't think you have to concern yourself about U.S. laws prohibiting exporting anything *out* of the U.S. Dan Moyer ----- Original Message ----- From: <mwfch at MWEB.CO.ZA> To: "EUforum" <EUforum at topica.com> Subject: Cryptography I read somewhere that you may not export "strong" cryptographic products . Why ? I recently made a program that is used to hold secret data for the user . I got complaints about my program not being very secret at all . In fact , it was a breeze to veiw the information . Now I want to use strong cryptography but i`m not sure if it is legal . So , what sould I do ? And I dont see why it would be illegal . Is the government scared they cant see what you are doing . But that means they allready know what we are doing .... Scarry stuff . Well , if there is any way you can help me , i`ll be very happy . Ferdinand
