Jordah, Guilty! I wrote EDS/Net. To answer your question, yes, only the db on the server is updated with EDS/Net. It also allows more than one person to access a db file at one time. I must admit that I haven't given EDS/Net much thought lately as I didn't think anyone was using it. However, I had plans to allow local db manipulation as well as server and to speed up database processing overall. There are some examples in the EDS/Net package that you might find useful. You can always contact me with any questions and I'll try to answer or provide what help I can (try and get that level of help from M$!).
