Fine Jonas. and U? I just love this Eu Community. Anyway, are u the coder of edsnet.... i have a question. when i was at school i tried, i tried placing an EDS program on the server and creating a short-cut on the client computers. i later found out that the databases were created from scratch instead of using the database used on the server. does EDSNET do away with this? as in only the server db is updated instead of creating a new db on the client computer? Jordah, Guilty! I wrote EDS/Net. To answer your question, yes, only the db on the server is updated with EDS/Net. It also allows more than one person to access a db file at one time. I must admit that I haven't given EDS/Net much thought lately as I didn't think anyone was using it. However, I had plans to allow local db manipulation as well as server and to speed up database processing overall. There are some examples in the EDS/Net package that you might find useful. You can always contact me with any questions and I'll try to answer or provide what help I can (try and get that level of help from M$!).
