In that case the values reach zero at 2:00am; anything earlier produces
negative values. 

If you add the number of milliseconds in a day to the -ve value, you turn it
back into a +ve without overlapping the hours 2:00 - 23:59.  

Thus 84480000 = (-1920000) + 86400000
