To all and sundry,

It seems that the greatest problem with ICQ besides it's total lack of
security is the dilution of the discussion. The list is not all that busy that
anything like ICQ is even remotely necessary. The newsgroup appears to
have died from lack of interest. Besides, it's just one more thing lurking in
the memory of my machine, bringing closer the moment that the whole
ball of wax will congeal and I will have to boot '98 that many more times than
I already have to(yeah...I know...get Linux...I am...I am...but I have
customers that pay at least some of my bills that use Windoze). I have made
three attempts at ICQ and each time, within a short time of the implementation
my machine has required cleaning out to get it to run correctly again...or
as correctly as 98 ever does.

The list isn't particularly slow either, so what advantage will we gain by the
use of ICQ...the effort is appreciated, but I just don't see the use.
