This is very Off Topic, if you don't want to read it, just delete it. I just want to tell you my story. I started playing with computers around the year 1994 (really was 1988 but i played stupid games for kids during those days). I remember I played Stunts (what a game!) and was happilly using DOS during those days. I made my own Batch's programs :P Some years later (here all programs get later.. not now with internet), i started seeing some windows, yes, was windows 3.1. I was annoyed, windows, minimez, maximimez, wow, that was a revolution, but i still liked just the plain command line. yes. C:\> damn... :) After that I remember exactly, it was 1994 when i went to a ISP's bussiness (fisically) and saw Windows 95 (had popup's menu, with a train as a background!!!!) runing Virtual Traveller on it. Damn, that was the day i subscribed to the internet, a whole new world. I started chatting like most of us (using Global Chat on irc), i started talking with people from all around the world. Soon, i wanted more programs, more $ i had to pay. I was a kid that time (9 years old) so i tried to don't do that (my dad would've kill me). Yes, i started that time. I researched into cracks. Yes, i know it's bad, but i don't felt like it was that time. I growed up, I even teached in my computer class at my school (DOS commands, piece of cake) I wasn't getting cracks for new programs (12 years old), what should i do? Tell my dad, "Dad, i want to chat with Maria, buy me this program" (?) no!! Well, i started programming since then. I researched about cracks (damn cracksme) and finally got how they worked. I learnt some ASM programming, no dissasembler in C or Euphoria, that's why they're called disASSEMBLER. Yeah, that worked, but, how do i distribute them my self? that was a problem. Basic was too old, i didn't like it. I started looking for a good language, I remember i looked into "Programmer's Paradise" page, and what i found? I still remember "Euphoria - DOS and Windows programming with the same code" that was... the day.. i was chosen :P Well, i know i went very offtopic... i forgot to tell you that i've tried more OS than u did... just to name a few.. Oberon, BeOS, V2OS, Ununium, Windows (all of them event 1.0), Linux (Tons of distros), BSD (only freebsd), Cirux (i think that was the name) and even more and more, i was a OScolich.. i was an addict to different OS... and see me, still here with my cracked version of Windows XP Pro (I'd love to pay for it since i'm a programmer but you see.. my month salary is 30$US... think a bit). I've tried all... i'm still with windows.. why? Just because all the people around me use it, i know, a lot use linux because they're winners? i dunno, i still like this crap, i like it's api, i like the software it has, and i like knowing that if a friend of mine comes to my house he won't answer what's that? actually they do. I don't use explorer, I use geoshell, i use mozilla, total commander, u see i just use the OS, not the apps, just the OS why? because i love it, because it's part of my life! Why are you reading this? you're coursios :) I dunno, i just want to say, that i'm not against Microsoft (They didn't do anything wrong), and i'm not against Linux, it's just another life.
