Bit crude, Jiri. But John, consider that 1) the font needs to be able to get displayed on top of other graphics, 2) there are more video modes than MCGA 3) that we dont want all fonts to be of the same size 4) we want to add special effect such as underlining, shadow 5) we want to use more than just one color. Using a fixed bitmap, we need a different font for every color, for every style, every size, and it would still only work in MCGA. Considering all that, I think Jiri's font package is wonderfull tool. Ralf
