Are you saying that Matt's example causes no problems, even when you use it to execute another Eu program? But using the shellExecuteEx call in a Win32Lib program does cause the problem(s)? What you really need to know, as I see it, is:"will your program, written in Euphoria, using Win32Lib, lock up people's computers if they run it by clicking on the icon." Your clients won't be using Matt's editor, or anything like that, to run your programs, and you can easily avoid the use of system_exec() or shellExecuteEx in your programs. Regards, Irv
