It probably will fail to load the shared library, since several dependencies
won't be there.  Are there systems that have GTK2 but not GTK1?  I suppose
some custom, semi-minimal distro might, but (and I'm not an expert here)
anytime GTK2 is installed, GTK1 seems to be there, too.
