RE: EDS Editor?

It's not that I haven't thought about it...given the flexible nature of EDS it would be difficult to determine if a sequence is a sequence of numbers or a sequence of characters. You would also have to have ways to limit the amount of data that could be entered and type (for instance a date or time sequence). I think Tone's EDS Viewer is as close as anything out there to accomplishing this and I think I remember reading somewhere (either in the documentation or on this list) that Tone was thinking about adding editing functionality. It would also be nice to be able to define the record layout as well. When Matt worked on SQL for the EDS he was trying to create a definition template that would describe each element of a sequence in terms of type, length, etc. It seems to me that a tool to edit a record would also have to have this template. Maybe it's time to unite and come up with a concensus on a definition template for EDS? Any thoughts? Jonas C. K. Lester wrote: > How come nobody's made a EUPHORIA database editor yet?
