Announce: Split 2000

It seems that things have gotten interesting on the mailing list of late, what with vitriolic flamewars and heated debate. I just wish I had more time to read it all... :) Anyway, I'm actually mailing to announce yet another program I've dusted off from the CyrekSoft archives. Yes, SPLIT is back, and this time the bugs have gone away (or they're very well hidden), and it also runs unmodified in Linux. The known 'bug' is that Split doesn't support floppy disks under Linux, other than that, it works exactly the same. The only new feature is an 'all' option for remaking all split files in a directory. I've added a couple of shell scripts for Linux users, and the PD Linux Euphoria interpreter 'exu' is included too. (I didn't register the Linux half, since I don't use it that much. Maybe I should have :) ) The DOS/Windows version comes ready bound as an .EXE, but full source is supplied. I'll post the new and improved splitter to RDS when I'm done with this message. TTFN, Carl -- Carl R.
