Compression
Hi everybody,
I've just finished some compression/decompression routines. You
may find them at my homepage (URL is at the end) in the files
section. I haven't done too much benchmarking, but my tries
give the following stats:
- Compresses files are 30% bigger than .ZIP
- Compression time is near the same as PKZIP with
maximum compression.
I think this is quite good for a code written entirely in
Euphoria. You'll need version 1.5 to run the code.
I you intend to compresse images.. forget about JPGs and
GIFs, the compressed image is *bigger* than the original.
But anyway you can try, maybe it works fine with yours ;)
