I'm following this side-effects stuff and I must say that I'm completely baffled as to why code relying on ambiguous side-effects is any more readable than properly written code. I just don't get why it matters that much. I would certainly be against reverting back to the "bad old undocumented behavior" way. You don't have to reply, Chris. I've read your feelings on it and I don't feel like arguing about it. I'm just sharing my opinion. -- "Any programming problem can be solved by adding a level of indirection." --anonymous "Any performance problem can be solved by removing a level of indirection." --M.
