ok - I'll make a total fool of myself with my first computer - in high school i
had access to a PDP 8 at the college. it ran solely on tape drive and paper tape.
programs could not exceed 8k. the system handled 24 concurrent users. what is
truly scary is this was only 25 years ago. NOT that long ago. I'm only 40 -
hardly dead. At this rate of growth i can't even imagine what we will have in
another 25 years.
