The web site for X-servers is: http://www.xfree.org Generally, each distribution includes all x-servers. I never tried to download one from the web, I always found CDs with complete distris. I just looked at the debian site (debian.org) and found the packages there, under: http://www.debian.org/Packages/stable/x11/ . you should need the xfree86-common package , the correct xserver for your graphic card, xterm and probably a lot other stuff... Can't you get a CD rather? it contains all packages and an installation program that will help you for the setup.
