Interesting to speculate about this. We'll accept the fact that most new
computers will come with Win2000 installed and the price of W2K iwill be
included (but hidden) in the cost of the hardware  But where does that leave
people who want to write programs? I think the NT API may be slightly difficult
for someone still learning for...loops. (but maybe that is the plan)

It won't matter how well it sells. In order to prevent potential embarassment,
MS will force stores to pull any remaining Win 98 packages from the shelves.
You will probably have to go to Ebay looking for a used version.

Hang on to your DOS 6.2 disks. They'll work, at least until you upgrade your
PC, by which time there'll probably be a "non-MS" fuse that blows when you try
to load "unauthorized" software.
