I think its importend to know the ppl of a List if you join so i will insert a little something about me : I am 26 years old, german and this time a Visitor in the US :). I like programming in different Programming "dialekts" and choose allways the best fitting one :). I discovered Euphoria a few days 2-3 Days ago cause of a friend that was faszinated by the possibilities of Euphoria (especially the speed) . additional i found a way to make Euphoria easier to access for new people (or also for the old programmers) as soon as they have Windows95/98. A lot of nowerdays Users get scared of DOS to remove this "Blockade" I developed a "Frontend" for Euphoria 2.1 beta and up (earlier versions i couldnt test :) ) I posted the newest Version of it today to RDS and they might approve it as usefull and set it on their webpage. (since i removed all the bugs i found hehe:) If someone wants to test it just send an email and i will send the 187kb selfextracting zip file to them. It contains all that is needed for the frontend. The frontend features: * run ANY Euphoria program (win32 or dos32) direct from windows (without typeing anything or bother which version of euphoria is needed to run the specific program). * call the editor from the frontend to test a program at the same time you are able to edit the program in a window. maybe <ALT+Enter> Needed to make the editor a window >:) * You can associate the .EX and .EXW extensions with the frontend to load the frontend by clicking on the program (which will be automaticly correct executed again without typing anything:) ) * Frontend can open .ex, .exw and .e files in the editor * true multitasking that means edit a program while running another one :) the "limitation is the Memory of your machine of course. * no autoexec lines needed normally because the path to euphoria get safed in an INI file :) Small but usefull and takes the "scarry" dos screen a little away (you might close the MSDOS boxes after a program has ended but thats it :) I hope to learn all the new features that euphoria offers (which is more powerfull as any language i know right now due to the fact that it is a DOS near programming environment :) Greetings and happy coding :) And a thick compliment to RDS Software for such a powerfull language.
