doEvents() [Part 1]

Mike,
While I used doEvents(0) [in Arwen] to great effect in that messagebox
replacement I sent you, I used it again and realised it is wrong:
(I used it in a processing loop and I think the only reason it
progressed at all is a timer running in the background; it ended up at
least some 32x slower...)

Suggestion:
doEvents(0) returns immediately;
doEvents(-1) stalls (as it does now) while the message queue is empty.

What do you think?
Am I (there being a strong possibility here) doing something wrong?
