Actually no.  At the moment, I'm really interested in porting only one 
lib.  For various reasons, I've chosen allegro.  One reason for choosing 
that lib is the work you've already done.  A second, I like Allegro 
better than SDL.  However, I realize that my opinion isn't the only one. 
 Which is why I ask the question as to whether or not the euphoria 
community would prefer an Allegro port or a SDL port.  

You mentioned difficulty getting started with Linux.  From my own 
experience, I can say it's much easier to start with Redhat or Mandrake. 
 Both of those distributions seem to do a good job at providing the most 
drivers and software to run most PC's.  It helps,of course if your using 
popular hardware.  Like sound blaster, and Nvidia for example.
