Thanks again for you help. What you suggested worked perfectly.
I will use it from now on. 

But... how did you know that the first parameter of shellExecute had to 
be "open"? Is it documented somewhere? I haven't been able to find 
it in any docs. 

But, that's my problem with so  much of Win32lib. There's so much 
there,  one could make a career out of figuring it all out. 

(That's not a complaint, by the way. Sincere gratitude to David Cuny, 
Matt Lewis, Derek Parnell, Judith Evans and anonymous (but no less 
honored)  Win32lib team members and contributors).
