Improved Mailing List Search

Junko has just uploaded a new, improved 
search facility for this mailing list. It's at:

The new features are:
      1. You can specify a range of months, rather than years.
           For example, you can limit the search to just the last
           month, or the last few months. Previously you had to select
           all of 2001.

      2. You can specify the poster of a message.
           Suppose you remember that Derek Parnell posted
           an informative message. You can specify: parnell 
           as the poster, and the search engine will only look at
           messages with "parnell" in the From: line.

With almost 35,000 messages since June 1996,
it helps to be able to narrow down what you are
searching for.

The keyword searching works as before.
The search engine computes a score for each eligible
message based on how many keywords are matched.
Matching a lot of different keywords is more important than
matching one keyword many times.

Topica also provides a search on their Web interface,
but it only goes back to Jan 2001, and I don't think it's as good
