AAACCCKK!!!! I began physically destroying Maxtor floppies *years* ago!! Everytime i used their utilities, booting on a good C: to format and clone to the D:, the MaxBlast would destroy the C:!! Even tho it presented the option to target the D:, it would *always* format or try to copy to the C:. But i have some investment in these puters, and can't toss it when this one harddrive fails. I am not sure i want to trust my own code, calling bios ints to do a "raw" read and write to copy the drive. thanks, Kat
