As far as useful advice, all I can say is: 1 ask lots of questions - people here are helpful. 2 start with something small, so that you aren't overwhelmed with technical stuff that you aren't ready to tackle yet. 3 look at some of the programs on RDS's web site for ideas of what other people are doing. 4. try not to start with Windows.
