1. Hosting suggestions?

After many happy years with myhosting.com (formerly softcomca.com), I need to move my two domains. Reason is, they've gone crazy on spam filtering, and use sorbs to lookup sending domains to see if they're blacklisted. Result is that email to my domains bounces, and in the case of Yahoo groups, for example, they stop sending it. This accounts for some of my problems getting email from this Euphoria forum. So I'm looking for a good, reliable hosting service, that doesn't take it upon itself to decide which emails sent to me will actually get to me. Location doesn't matter ... myhosting.com is in Canada. Any recommendations? -- Craig

ListFilter.com is hosted by host-web-site.com Their prices are here: http://www.host-web-site.com/en/price.html I'm using Plan 200, but may have to move to Plan 300 soon. They have SpamAssassin, but it's up to each user whether to turn it on or not. If you turn it on, the spam is filtered into a special folder that you can review. I don't use their mail normally. All my listfilter mail is read by a Euphoria program. If you are having trouble with Topica, or even if you aren't, I recommend that you use the EUforum RSS feed: http://www.listfilter.com/EUforum/messages_full.xml Regards, Rob Craig Rapid Deployment Software http://www.RapidEuphoria.com

In over 3 years, there was one incident where they crashed and lost some of my data, and took a couple of days to come back. Other than that there have been just a few outages for a few hours or less with no loss of data. They've replied to several tech support requests, always within a day, though I know of someone who says they didn't reply to him at all one time. I think they are based in Europe somewhere, but I'm not sure. Regards, Rob Craig Rapid Deployment Software http://www.RapidEuphoria.com

I don't see anything in the archives for *receiving* mail, just for *sending* it. Are you using some equivalent of getmail or fetchmail? Thanks, -- Craig

No. I was using the Linux "mail" command (and Euphoria's system()), but now I simply have a Euphoria program running 24-7, checking for new incoming mail by looking in a particular directory. The vast majority of the incoming mail is spam. In fact, I'm now getting about one spam message per minute sent to listfilter.com. EUforum messages have a special header line, so it's easy to filter out the spam. I don't use listfilter.com for any personal e-mail.
