1. Where to put Eu in Linux
All,
Since I'm new to Eu in Linux I have a question about where to put Eu.
I downloaded the PD Eu .tar file.
By default, I saved it to my /home directory.
When I tar-ed it, it created the directories under my home directory.
Is that the "preferred" place for Eu in Linux or is there another?

That's just fine, especially if you are
the only user who will use Eu (or perhaps
the only user who will use your machine).
If you have multiple users, you may prefer to
have just one copy of Eu which lives in a directory
that is available to all.
Just be sure to adjust EUDIR and PATH
to point to the right locations.

That's fine. More linux-ish would be /usr/local or something like that.
