1. RE: Books for EU

what the...? are you nuts? why the heck would there be a book about
euphoria, much less a library like win32lib? as far as i know, only a
few hundred or even a few thousand people(maybe more) not in any way
affiliated with any publishing company know about euphoria. so why on
earth did you expect a language that could never stand up to C or Java
to have a book?

2. RE: Books for EU

I'm writing a series of books about EUPHORIA.

Book 1: "How to Use EUPHORIA, You Moron!" (I want to capitalize on the
unprecedented state of affairs whereby publishers can call their readers
names and sell even more books.)
Book 2: "EUPHORIA for the Programatically Depressed." (More of a fictional
work than anything, but I'm at least able to preach my doctrine in the
midst.)
Book 3: "The State of EUPHORIA"
Book 4: "Advanced EUPHORIA Programming"
Book 5: "Stuff About EUPHORIA You'll Never Comprehend So Don't Even Try -
I'm Serious, Put This Book Down and Walk Out of the Barnes and Noble - Okay,
Don't Say I Didn't Warn You, Idiot" (That name calling will probably earn me
another six figures!)
Book 6: "EUPHORIA 4.0 for the Future" (Start learning 4.0 TODAY so you will
be ready when it gets here. This is an exclusive, tell-all book covering
every feature of 4.0, some that even Rob Craig himself doesn't even know-
but he will after he reads this book.)

Advanced orders are being accepted.

Thanks!

I have to disagree depending on the application.
Eu wont stand up to C on some things that must be
extremely fast, but for quite a few things it
seems to do just fine. If you have a fast computer,
you can do even more still.

Recently i wrote a windows program to simply balance my
checkbooks, and now instead of taking 15 to 30 minutes,
it takes about 120 seconds (no kidding) to balance all
my accounts. To enter a new item, about 5 seconds or less.

The neat thing is, it only took about 6 hours to write
from scratch.

Oh yeah, recently i also wrote a jpg/bmp picture viewer.
While the decompressor is written in C, the viewer itself
is ALL in Euphoria. Ive submitted it to RDS also.
