In basic.htm "13 Reasons Why You Are Going to Write Your Next Program in Euphoria!", of the 13 reasons, 4 of them refer to QBasic. Does anyone still write programs in QBasic in 2003? Maybe instead of QBasic it should be Visual Basic. But I heard a rumor that even VB is starting to get out of date. Jerry Story

I can think of at least 2 more reasons concerning BASIC. But "basic.htm" isn't included in Eu 2.4 any more, so obviously Rob didn't regard it as important any more. Concerning the other languages that are mentioned here, I can't say anything, because I don't know them. And I don't have a need to learn to know any other language at the moment.
