I can think of at least 2 more reasons concerning BASIC. 
But "basic.htm" isn't included in Eu 2.4 any more, so obviously Rob
didn't regard it as important any more.

Concerning the other languages that are mentioned here, I can't say
anything, because I don't know them. And I don't have a need to learn to
know any other language at the moment.
