Hey all,
I went to the archives to check out Exotica. I was then sent to the =
site and when I clicked on the Exotica for Euphoria programmers, I got =
an error. It ried again this morning, but it was the same. How long does =
it take for Windows too clean out it's cookies or history or temporary =
internet files so I can download it?=20

No, the site still exists.
I just tried also, and ended up with a dns error.
But I also just tried again, and it worked. Go figure..
Poor server...
Try .. http://exotica.iwarp.com
instead of.. http://exotica.iwarp.com/exotica.html

Hi, Sorry about that. I had deleted an account with a host that stored my
files on it. I fixed the link to the a new location where you can now
download the Exotica Version 1.5 from. Just in case, try reloading the page
where the link to the file is at. Again, sorry about the hassle.

Well, I got exoticaX. It looks good, but when I run the demo, the screen
resizes, turns black, and that's it. Do you know what's going on? Also, just
a suggestion, have you ever thought of putting in some HTML documentaion
like the kind with Euhporia? i think it would help a lot.

Hi, there is a problem with Exotica Version 1.5 when initializing the
buffers to draw on into video memory with certain video cards. Unfortunitly,
I don't know which video cards exactly this happens on. I have an AGP
Creative Banshee Voodoo2 card with 16megs of video memory which the examples
work for me. This may or may not be the problem for you. When the screen
goes black and nothing else happens, try hitting the 'enter' key first. If
it's a Euphoria related error, you may not see an Euphoria made error
message because DirectX is still running in the background which the DirectX
buffers is hiding the error message. I am working on a Version 1.6 of
Exotica DX Game Library to hopefully fix the video problem and other little
things. I don't know when I'll have version v1.6 done.
