Hi all, Am I the only one that's having trouble with Winlib32 0.55.1? I always get an "Error code 498" (common controls could not be initialized). (see my message: "Winlib32 0.55.1 Fatal Error: Error code 498") I installed Euphoria 2.2 in the normal directory structure. I added "c:\Euphoria\bin" ,"c:\Euphoria\include" and "c:\Euphoria\Winlib32" (that's where I keep all winlib32 files) to the search path. I also set the EUDIR in autoexec.bat. Don't know what else could be wrong... I use Windows 95, could it be that some of the dll's are out of date? With WInlib32 0.45 everything worked fine.... Eddy

That would be me. I volunteered to do this so as to free up David Cuny's productive time. David wrote the original version of the library. I look after the library in my free time, and as I have a full-time job, a wife, a teenage son, and a daughter who is just about to start school, I don't get much of that stuff (Its 2:15 a.m. as I write this). >Also, why doesn't Win32lib carry a version in the file > name itself? Because (a) if I did that some people would be asking "why has Win32lib got a version number in its name?" and (b) that's something you can do yourself and (c) each version is meant to replace the earlier version. > It would seem that doing both would eliminate some measure of confusion. Doing "both"? I got the embedded version number request but what was the other request? ------ Derek Parnell Melbourne, Australia (Vote [1] The Cheshire Cat for Internet Mascot)
