1. Edita mouse wheel scroll?

I downloaded Edita 0.1.3 and I must say - It's very nice! I'm looking forward to having all the features I love in MEditor in Edita. But I have a problem - I think you're interpreting the mouse wheel up/down backwards, because when I scroll my mouse wheel up, the text scrolls down, and vice versa. My mouse wheel scrolls fine in IE. And I must definitely push for "project management" - I'm sure you know how frustrating it is having lots of files to edit for one project. Just try working on the Euphoria 2.5 PD source, then another project for a while, then Eu source again! ~Greg

When turning the wheel away from the user, the scrollbar goes up, when turning towards the users the scrollbar goes down. -- Derek Parnell Melbourne, Australia irc://irc.sorcery.net:9000/euphoria

> I find it helps to use the terminology "away" and "towards". When turning= the wheel away from the user, the scrollbar goes up, when turning towards = the users the scrollbar goes down. In that case, I would turn the wheel "away" from me and the scroll bar would go down, and when turning the wheel "towards" me, it would go up. That's backwards. :) I have now tested this on two computers, as I was at my uncle's house showing him an example of a Euphoria app when this happened (I needed something in exe form, so I downloaded Edita). I am now home and have tested it on my computer, and it does the same thing. Both have XP - his mouse is a generic USB optical type, mine is a PS/2 optical trackball. ~Greg

That's backwards. :) I'm sorry, but I didn't make myself very clear. I was *not* talking about the Edita behaviour. I should have said ... "I find it helps to use the terminology 'away' and 'towards'. In any application, when turning the wheel away from the user, the scrollbar should go up, and when turning towards the users the scrollbar should go down." -- Derek Parnell Melbourne, Australia irc://irc.sorcery.net:9000/euphoria

In any >application, when turning the wheel away from the user, the scrollbar >should go up, and when turning towards the users the scrollbar should >go down." OK, this has been fixed and uploaded. There is also a new toolbar: http://palacebuilders.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/edita.htm#download I think what might have helped me not make the mistake is that the mousewheel moves the thumb on the vertical scrollbar, not the view. Or possibly I should just have compared the behaviour with any other application, even MEditor which I pinched some of the code from Regards, Pete
