Unless I don't understand something, I have personally set up Euphoria programs to use sendmail on Linux to send email out to multiple recipients. Not a big deal. I also think that a community developed mailing list would be a great testament to the vitality of the language AND the people using the language. Rob, is euphoria.com hosted on a machine under your control or are you using a provider? If it's your machine we could develop whatever we wanted. Try talking with the folks at, for example, LinuxWebHost (http://linuxwebhost.com). For $15 or $20 per month, they can set you up with 10 or 20 mailing lists, plus plenty of storage and web space for a forum. Many lists would allow people to subscribe to only the topics they were interested in, and you could have one for "all topics", where everything would be combined. Most likely they would allow Euphoria scripts in your cgi-bin to process & sort the incoming mails. If your account there got blacklisted, it would not affect rapideuphoria.com. > > I also think that a community developed mailing list would be a great > > testament to the vitality of the language AND the people using the > > language. > > Initially I'll work on it, then I'll turn it over to Junko. > Maybe we can have modules that others can help us with. > We'll try to do something really quick and simple to > start with, then we'll add improvements as we go along. (see above) The actual mail handing does not need to be done by Euphoria, but the programs which capture the messages and create a web interface should be. Anything else makes Euphoria look bad. Today, I read several posts before I realized they has ads! Karl Bochert
