Hi all, this has nothing to do with Eu, so you know this is a last resort question from me.. but when i score over 7000 in Solitaire on win95, i'd like to print the screen to the printer (or to a file) to prove i did it. But ctrl- print_screen doesn't work, shift-print_screen doesn't work, and alt- print_screen doesn't work. Neither do combinations of any keys that normally work. It looks like the "Deal Again?" input box is taking all my keystrokes away from the puter's innate print ability. Is this the case, and can this problem be fixed by Eu in this Solitaire case and any other similar cases? Does this happen with people playing other games? Kat

Try moving the focus to another window on your screen (the modal grab should only be for the application, and not effect any other windows app) and try it. -- David Cuny

Hi Kat, When you press the print screen button by itself (on any windows screen) an image of the desktop is copied into the clipboard. So press print screen, startup Microsoft Paint (Start Menu -> Programs -> Accessories -> Paint) and select the "edit", "Paste" menu option and then you can save the screen dump to disc, or print it, email it ... whatever. Hope that helps, Ray Smith >On 13 Nov 2000, at 11:18, Cuny, David@DSS wrote: > >> Kat wrote: >> >> > But ctrl-print_screen doesn't work, >> > shift-print_screen doesn't work, and alt- >> print_screen doesn't work. >> >> Odd. The screen gets put to the clipboard when you use the Print Screen key. What you need to do then is "paste" into your paint program... THEN print. So, it really should be "Copy Screen." > to print the screen to the printer (or to a file) to prove i did > it.
