Why use Lynx, when you've got a perfectly fine web browser built into KDE? Hit Alt-F2, and type 'rapideuphoria.com' into the little box that pops up, hit enter, and (if you're connected to the web) you'll be at the RDS website. Then, just drag any file you want to download onto your desktop (use the left mouse button) and it'll download. If you really _want_ to use Lynx, it's text based, so you'll have to leave KDE (Ctl-Alt-F1 thru Ctl-Alt-F6) and log in to a text console. Once there, just type lynx. (all lower case). Console apps don't show any kind of error message when you try to run them from within xWindows , To get back to xWindows and KDE, type Alt-F7. You won't need mtools unless you're reading/writing/formatting DOS disks. Linux can read/write DOS/Windows hard drives just fine. Hope that is what you were asking. Regards, Irv

Woah-congratulation. First, could you add some punctuation an newlines to your mails, they are hard to read If you have KDE running, you can open a terminal window, search for kterm or xterm or konsole. Just type lynx and there it is. If you want to surf the web, you must setup your isp. I suppose you will use kppp (I have a suse distro, and dont use kde). You know that the kde file manager, KFM, is a browser too. The modules are called from a file /etc/conf.modules or /etc/modules.conf . With suse it is pre-written, just uncomment the lines and it works. There sure is someone there with redHat to help you? -well I must go, good luck .
