Why use Lynx, when you've got a perfectly fine web browser built into KDE? Hit Alt-F2, and type 'rapideuphoria.com' into the little box that pops up, hit enter, and (if you're connected to the web) you'll be at the RDS website. Then, just drag any file you want to download onto your desktop (use the left mouse button) and it'll download. If you really _want_ to use Lynx, it's text based, so you'll have to leave KDE (Ctl-Alt-F1 thru Ctl-Alt-F6) and log in to a text console. Once there, just type lynx. (all lower case). Console apps don't show any kind of error message when you try to run them from within xWindows , To get back to xWindows and KDE, type Alt-F7. You won't need mtools unless you're reading/writing/formatting DOS disks. Linux can read/write DOS/Windows hard drives just fine. Hope that is what you were asking. Regards, Irv
