Come on Jiri, we would still need the old one for the programs
already written that do stuff like this:
puts (1, "There is ")
print (1, 365.25)
puts (1, " in a year.")
so that it still prints like this:
There is 365.25 days in a year.
instead of like this:
There is 365.25 days in a year.

Notice the extra space.
later,
