Please help me. I am trying to load the demo programs into the editor in
order to study them. Unfortuanately, I am not having anyluck. When I load
files using the names of the demo programs, I get new files. It may be
significant that I do not know anything at all about working in dos.

Thanks and God bless,
George

Hello,
It's been a while since I used the "ed.ex" editor (that IS
what you're talking about, right) but lets see what I can
remember.

I beleive you can do the following at the dos prompt:

ed.bat <path>\<FileName>

<path> is the path to the demo program
<FileName> is the name of the demo program

if you don't provide the path then it will create a new
file by that name in the current directory. I think you
can open a file in the editor as well by pressing ESC and
then 'O' or 'L' or something but not sure.
I would suggest using a different editor if you have further
trouble. You should be able to find some on the web site:
http://rapideuphoria.com
goto: Recent User Contributions
and search for "editor"

later,
Lewis Townsend

I am assuming you're using Win95. Win98 and others may vary.

One thing I have noticed: right before you enter the command "ed filename.ex"
into "Run..." under "Start" have a "My Computer" window open and active
containing "filename.ex". Windows will look in the "active" My computer
directory before anything else.

This may or may not work for you, I HTH.

George,

would you mind not promoting your mythology as if it were fact here?

It's a one-line signature. If it's too much to handle, get off the 'net
because you're going to see a lot of stuff you might want to cry about.

George,
She was meerly asking you not to so grandly promote your faith in what is
supposed to be a neutral envronment. as a note you might see a few things
you don't want to see either.

Kat, would you mind not starting a flame war here?

George, please don't overdo it with the religious quotes. I may share your
beliefs, but that doesn't mean I put them in every e-mail message I write.
Browbeating people with your beliefs is not going to win you any "converts,"
unless you wish to employ forced baptisms and Crusade-style tactics.

And if either of you (or anybody else, for that matter) wishes to continue
this "discussion," please send your comments directly to the person in
question -- don't torture the other poor souls on this list.

Whoops, I said "souls" -- I wonder if I offended anybody? smile

I'm not George. smile George has yet to respond, and might not because it
might not be worth it!

However, again, it's a simple signature line... easily overlooked if one
can, easily ignored if one can't.

Saying that he was "grandly promoting" his faith is beyond ridiculous.

The fact that Kat responded has done more to "promote" anything than the
original one-line that sparked her comment! She should have just shut up
about it and all would've been well.

Seems that George worships the creator while you guys worship the created.
Funny stuff.

Too late! Arrgh! (Original topic of thread)

One little line causes all this hubub. Interesting stuff. I guess it's like
a grain of sand in one's bed, eh? smile

Browbeating?!?! Sheesh. You'd think the Catholics were back with the
Inquisition the way you guys are describing his parting quote line.

What does hep yadda mean?

*whimper* Thats probably why I stopped with my "Blessed Be!" signatures... to
avoid such a "ideaology" conflict. (Tho only one noted that Blessed Be was a
Wiccan term (for the most part, that is))

I have to agree with Kat here. I don't promote companies or some
particular deity with which I am enamoured at this point in time. You are
on the Euphoria list. Please refrain from non-Euphoria promotions.

Thanks, George!

Hey, I think most of us knew that. But your posts are interesting, and sigs
are really easy to just ignore. Kinda like those "this program is sponsored
by..." messages on the radio. Does anybody really remember who sponsored
that program? Does anyone even care?

I thought it was a reference to the BeOS.
