------=_NextPart_000_0018_01BF27EF.D39F1B30 charset="iso-8859-1" Hello all. I have been hanging out in the background for several months now. I haven't had the time to keep up with all the EU developments, so excuse me if this is a repeat. I have been developing a web app and have run into the problem of printing nicely formatted reports. I have come to the conclusion that I am going to need to write my own 'Print Engine'. By print engine I mean an app I can call from the browser, feed it args such as headers, footers, timestamps and items like that. The browsers give no control over stuff like that, and I need to control them along with the printing of background images of the html page. Would Eu be suited for this? Also, I have seen some comments about X-windows. Does Eu run under X and/or Linux? I don't know the anything about calling an app from a browser, but you have access to Win32 print functions in Win32Lib. > Also, I have seen some comments about X-windows. > Does Eu run under X and/or Linux? It runs under Linux. It can call Linux libraries, and has been bound to X Windows, GTK, and other libraries. -- David Cuny

You say you will "call it from the browser", so I assume you're talking about a cgi program that can be called over the inter/intranet. CGI programs are easy to write in Euphoria. There are some examples on the Recent Contributions page of the RDS website. >Also, I have seen some comments about X-windows. Does Eu run under X and/or >Linux? Yes, and yes. An easy to use Euphoria wrapper for GraphApp can be downloaded from my webpage: http://www.free-host.com/irv The address for the GraphApp site is also listed, there are excellent tutorials there.
