There's now a new Java chat applet, hosted on RapidEuphoria.com. The old one was on another machine, and it apparently disappeared a few weeks ago. Some people have their own IRC chat programs, so they weren't affected, but most casual passers-by would not have been able to chat lately. Let me know if there are any problems with the new applet. http://www.rapideuphoria.com/chatroom.html Regards, Rob Craig Rapid Deployment Software http://www.RapidEuphoria.com

Apperently the client only tried to connect to that server, and when the server delinked, it failed. The new applet is a more functional IRC client, you can go to multiple channels on SorceryNET, and have access to all the nickserv/chanserv server commands. Plus you can finger, whois, ping, etc. anyone in the channels. However the Java client is meant for Euphoria users to chat in the #Euphoria channel. Unlike the previous client, it does not join the #Euphoria channel automatically, you will need to type /join #Euphoria. You will also need to change your default name: "EuAnon1" to something else using the "/nick <name>" server cammand. You may wish to register your nick name, please visit: http://www.sorcery.net/help/ if you have any questions regarding server commands. Unfortunatly, my web server doesn't allow Euphoria, so I've been working with PHP, and MySQL, but it is very well possible to use Euphoria, and EDS to create a Login page, and automatically register a person's nickname with nickserv, with PJIRC. However, I do want to note, that the Java Client has problems, atleast on my computer, connecting to irc.sorcery.net, or any of the European servers. The only server I've been able to make work with, on SorceryNET, is zaphire. Something to note, I guess. Hi, I've been invited into the #euphoria chat room for an open question time on Win32Lib, next weekend. I'll be there starting from 7:00am Sunday (Melbourne Time) which is 9pm Saturday GMT, and 4pm Saturday (US Eastern Time) I think. Everyone is welcome to join in on the discussions. ------------ Derek.
