Oh, very nice. He does so in the German translation, too. 
But since we are talking English on this list, and I wanted to post
a reference, I chose the English "bootstrap" version.

Yes, and he was a German. So he is a good example for the old
Russian-German friendship. 

I think in Russia, you say: "Druschba!".
(Sorry, I only know how to pronounce this word, not how it is spelled.)
